Please read the Codes and save them for future reference. Training sFOCUS trains Umpires and Scorers to its own internal standards, described here, and also encourages members to gain internationally recognised qualifications. The ECB ACO is taking over responsibility for umpire and scorer education and their training structure can be found here.. It is thought that ACU&S courses etc currently under way (March 2008) will be completed. Umpires swissFOCUS Introduction to Umpiring courses were held on Saturday 10th March 2007 in Geneva and Uster. An impressive total of 19 people attended, and our thanks go to them, the instructors and organizers. Scorers We hope to run our own scoring courses in the future but, in the meantime, recommend members to follow correspondence courses offered by the ECB ACO/ACU&S. Captains' & Managers' Seminars As a service to the players and teams of Swiss Cricket, we are offering to host a number of evenings (both in the east and west of Switzerland as required) where we shall help clarify any aspects of the laws of the game and answer any questions you may have. It is also a good opportunity to meet as many players and administrators of the game in this country and reinforce our committment to providing the best standard of umpiring to all. Although our target audience is the team Captains and Managers, we certainly welcome anyone else interested in attending. Match Officials We are able to appoint qualified umpires and scorers to officiate at cricket matches in Switzerland as well as to provide representative officials for international fixtures involving Swiss sides. The Umpires and Scorers of sFOCUS are determined to provide the best standard of umpiring and scoring in as many games as possible. The file is in the form of a single A4 sheet that requires resizing (for an A3 printer) or enlargement on a photocopier A4. Scoresheet with the layout adapted to fit on two A4 pages - can be used without resizing. Match Reports sFOCUS requires its officials to complete match reports and a suitable form that can either be submitted electronically or via the postal service is available. Captains or Managers wishing to make a report about the behaviour of an Umpire should also use this report by identifying the match and making their report under the headings '1st/2nd innings incidents etc'.
